I went to this shop because it was one of the closest one's to my house. What I thought was a simple issue turned out to be a larger one; my alternator was bad. They initially quoted me close to $3,000 for it. After doing some research, I found myself thinking that there was no way that an alternator being replaced would cost that much so I decided to get a second opinion to make sure if I was going to spend that much money to repair my car that it would actually be worth it. When I told the manager I was going to get a second opinion, rather than being confident in his diagnosis, he gave me attitude about the fact that I was taking my car elsewhere. You would think that if his quote was actually a good price than he wouldn't be worried. I took it to another place down the street. There ended being two problems with my car; the alternator and the power steering pump. It cost me less to fix two issues than it would have cost to replace an alternator at Tony's. I can tell that this is not the kind of place where you are going to be taken care of especially if you are a young woman. It's overpriced and they didn't do a thorough job finding out what was actually wrong with my car.
I am happy to hear that you had the alternator replaced and a power steering pump as well. We didn't see an issue with the power steering pump but if they did great. I do not like the fact that you stated we are taking advantage of women, that is B.S. and you know. I just hope the other shop didn't take advantage of you as well. We also use quality factory rotating assemblies as the aftermarket stuff is not very reliable, especially with the cost involved. I wish you all the best. Scott Petrie, Manager
